The Pitbulls, coached by Renzo Gracie, defeated Pat Miletich’s Quad City Silverbacks 3-2. The Pitbulls started strong, taking a 2-0 lead on victories by Delson Heleno and a surprising win by Deividas Taurosevicius over Bart Palaszewski. The Silverbacks came back strong with wins by Ben Rothwell, and a devestating knockout by Ryan McGivern. It came down to the last fight, which was won with a vicious knee to the jaw of Mike Ciesnolevicz. With the win by Andre Gusmao, the Pitbulls knocked off the defending champion Silverbacks.

Rampage’s victory over Dan Henderson, earned him the #2 spot in the Light Heavyweight rankings. Mauricio”Shogun” Rua remained at #1 in part to a previous victory over Rampage. Wanderlei Silva, who holds 2 victories over Quinton”Rampage” Jackson, and Chuck Liddell, round out the top four. If Rua get past Forrest Griffin, a tough opponent at UFC76, he may get the next shot at the much improved UFC champ Jackson. Chuck Liddell vs Wanderlei Silva may not happen this year, but if they both win their next fights it could happen early in 2008.

Mike Swick will not make his Welterweight debut at the Ultimate Fight Night on 9/19/07. Pulling out due to a rib injury. Dustin Hazellet will face Swicks opponent Jonathon Goulet. Wilson Gouveia has pulled out of UFC 76 on 9/22/07 due to a broken nose suffered in training. His match with Jason Lambert will be rescheduled according to the UFC.
